ABOUT US
What is Blue Maven Law?
In 2014, Missouri attorney Brian Rogers founded Blue Maven Law with one mission in mind: to help small business owners understand and simplify the legal hurdles necessary for building, managing, and growing their companies. From mergers and acquisitions to daily operations, Blue Maven Law provides personalized and user-friendly law services that make it easier for entrepreneurs to be successful.
The name “Blue Maven” is derived from Brian’s vision of a truly effective and relevant business law practice. “Maven” represents his expertise in the arena, and “Blue” is inspired by the book Blue Ocean Strategy (written by Chan Kim and Renee Mauborgne) that defines innovative business services.
Brian understands that your business is not just a financial commitment but represents a real part of you. With a particular focus on business acquisition, he is committed to understanding your business and its objectives first, and then applying the highest standard of legal services to support your goals. Brian is highly focused on helping small business owners – and future small business owners – achieve their dreams safely while navigating the legal issues involved in operating, buying, and selling their business.

What Clients Say About Our Firm
Ann Prenatt, Co-Owner, Simply Successful, LLC
Brian helped me launch both a nonprofit organization (where he consulted on several business issues) and a for-profit holding company (where he both consulted on strategy and did all the legal work to form the entity). He has also helped to evaluate numerous contracts and other business documents. He's intelligent, thorough, insightful, and creative. I've always been a fan of attorneys who will help you think through an issue from every angle before deciding how to proceed, and Brian is a great partner in that regard. And when it comes time to make a decision he knows the law and knows how to leverage it. Can't recommend him more.

We asked Brian to "educate" a group of purchasing managers on the specifics and pitfalls of electronic contracting. He did a great job of providing clear guidelines with good examples, and presented them in an entertaining manner. Brian also did a good job of encouraging interaction and questions from the group, and clearly responded to all inquiries. Based on this presentation, I can recommend Brian for contract review and preparation.
Ray Scott, Senior Partner, Experience On Demand
Brian was the guest speaker for the St. Louis Paralegal Association at our September meeting. He was there to present on the topic of electronic contracts. Not only did he provide great information for this group of legal professionals, he covered material that was relevant to our personal lives, as well. As a testament to his speaking skills he had the audience engaged and laughing.

To me, Brian has always been *the* contract guru in our community. As an entrepreneur, I can say that Brian understands the wants and needs of entrepreneurs. Brian's significant insight into contract law can make any client feel confident that they are well-counseled and have tight contracts that do what they want them to do.
Tom Applewhite, Donner-Applewhite, Attorneys at Law
Brian Rogers gave an excellent presentation to a packed meeting room for members and guests of the ACA Professionals Club in December. The topic was "Mergers, Acquisitions & Strategic Alliances." Brian's perspective on the state of M&A activity in the U.S. and particularly the St. Louis region was professional, informative and inspiring. His depth of knowledge and experience makes him one of the go-to legal resources for business owners and firms in this market who are contemplating potential transactions.
Alvan Sage, Management Consultant, STLSage.com
I contacted Brian through his "Contracts Guy" blog after finding his "Battle of the Forms" post. Brian was able to present a great overview of contract law for our group of public power supply management people. Although we had to do the presentation via conference call, Brian's discussion was lively and interesting, and earned high marks from all in attendance. In fact, we ran short of time with the amount of questions and interaction we had going. Brian was professional, knowledgeable, friendly, and funny, and I would recommend anyone looking for someone with a broad knowledge of contract law to get in touch with him.
